Bonds

General overview of criminal bonds that are collected in criminal cases in our Court: A criminal bond is a monetary amount or property pledged by, or on behalf of, a defendant to the court in order to secure a condition imposed by the court. The court may order a cash bond, to be deposited into the local court registry, a surety bond, or a property bond. The Clerk’s office will receipt for the bond after the presiding Judge orders the bond be posted by the defendant.
