Beginning May 11, 2025, the U.S. Courts will implement Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to strengthen security for the Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) and Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) systems.
Users who do not voluntarily enroll will be randomly selected to do so starting in August 2025. By the end of 2025, MFA will be mandatory for all users with CM/ECF-level access.
For more information, please review the Multifactor Authentication Coming Soon announcement available on the PACER website.
If you have any questions, contact the PACER Service Center at pacer@psc.uscourts.gov or (800) 676-6856. The Service Center is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT.
