The Multi-Court Voice Case Information System (McVCIS) provides callers with free access to limited court case information via a toll-free telephone number. The public may call 1-866-222-8029 with a touchtone telephone 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to obtain the most requested information about filed cases in the U.S. District Court – Western District of Pennsylvania. Options for searching for Civil and Criminal cases with McVCIS include:
- Defendant (both individual and corporation)
- Plaintiff (both individual and corporation)
- Case number.
When searching by case number, the application asks for the 7-digit case number, which is the 2-digit year and 5-digit case number. Do not include the office code, which is the leading digit before the year. If a case number has fewer than 5 digits, be sure to include leading zeros.
For example:
- For case number: 8:25-cv-00585, enter 2500585
- For case number: 1:25-cv-12, enter 2500012
