On December 7, 2025, United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon assumed the duties of Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Chief Judge Bissoon succeeds Judge Mark R. Hornak, who served as Chief Judge from 2018 to 2025.
